Skill Matrix
The Skill Matrix is a unique mechanism developed by Sumex to provide users with meaningful feedback on their decisions. It transforms your actions on the platform into visible growth across different skill branches, showing not only what you do, but also how you evolve as a trader, investor, or community participant.
Unlike quests or achievements, the Skill Matrix requires no activation. It’s always on — tracking your progress every time you engage with the Sumex platform.
How does it work?
Each branch grows as you engage with different parts of the platform. The more you trade, analyze, participate, or diversify, the stronger your profile becomes.
To keep things clear and user-friendly, here are a few examples:

Spot Trader → grows as you increase the number of trades and the range of assets you interact with.

Futures Trader → builds strength from consistent futures activity and stable performance.

Passive Income → develops as you stake, farm, or invest across multiple protocols.

Risk-Averse → rises when you keep leverage under control and maintain good portfolio diversification.

Social → expands as you bring in referrals, join guilds, or link social accounts.

Complete & Earn → strengthens as you participate in quests and unlock achievement badges.

Analyst → grows with frequent logins, checking analytics tools, or reading news feeds.

Agnostic → develops as you connect more chains, wallets, and coins to your profile.
These are just examples — the full calculation uses a blend of different factors in each branch.
Additionally to just racking your personal performance and advancement of each of the skill branches, you can also utilize the comparison with other public profiles. This allows you to gauge how your skills compare to your favourite KOLs and gives you a hint of what you need to improve in order to become a better crypto user. In order to do so, you need to navigate the the other user's profile and once there, click the 'Compare' button located on their Skill Matrix.
Important notes to consider:
The Skill Matrix works automatically as you use Sumex. There is no “start” button — your progress is always being tracked.
Only activities done inside the Sumex interface (or through our official API) are measured.
Example: if you make trades directly on a CEX, they won’t count toward your Skill Matrix, even if that CEX account is linked via the Connection Manager.
This may change in the future as integrations deepen.
While the Skill Matrix is a tracking tool, it also powers Sumex achievements, quests, and progression systems — making your activity both useful and rewarding.
In short: the Skill Matrix is your crypto growth map. It’s always on, adapts to your actions, and shows how you’re evolving across trading, investing, risk, social, and analytical skills — all within Sumex.
