Sumex is a platform operated by a globally distributed team under Sumex Labs. This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, and protect user information when you interact with the Sumex platform.

1. Data We Collect​

Sumex is designed with privacy and non-custodial principles at its core. We do not collect personally identifiable information unless you voluntarily provide it. However, to enhance your experience and power platform functionality, we may collect the following data:

a. Platform Usage Data​

  • Aggregated metrics about platform interactions (e.g., trading actions, quests completed, assets tracked)
  • Wallet addresses and connected exchange accounts (via API)
  • XP and Sigma Point activity
  • User preferences and dashboard settings

b. Connection Metadata​

  • Wallet type and blockchain network (via Web3 connection)
  • Exchange name and permission levels (for CEX API keys)
  • Device/browser info (used to improve platform compatibility and performance)

Note: We do not store or access your private keys, seed phrases, or API secrets beyond the encrypted session environment.

2. How We Use Your Data​

Collected data is used for the following purposes:

  • To power the GameFi layer, including XP tracking, quests, Sigma Points, and reward distribution
  • To enable real-time portfolio tracking and analytics
  • To improve user experience through personalized dashboards
  • To provide accurate cross-chain and cross-platform functionality
  • To display community metrics (e.g., sentiment, leaderboard rankings)

We may also use anonymized or aggregated data to improve our services, build analytics, or generate educational insights.

At this time, Sumex does not use cookies for tracking or advertising purposes. Future updates may include optional cookies for session improvement, which will be disclosed and configurable.

4. Data Sharing​

We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties for marketing or profiling purposes.

Limited data may be shared with service providers (e.g., analytics tools, hosting providers) strictly to improve Sumex's performance. These providers are contractually obligated to protect your data.

Third-party integrations such as CEXes, DeFi protocols, or wallets are external platforms — each governed by their own privacy policies. You are encouraged to review them individually.

5. User Control & Privacy Settings​

In upcoming versions of Sumex, users will have granular control over their privacy settings, including:

  • Whether their portfolio is visible to others
  • What data is displayed to Guild members or followers
  • Ability to opt out of certain platform metrics

Currently, users can choose to make their profile private or public. Wallets and exchange connections can be edited or revoked at any time through the Connection Manager.

6. Security​

Sumex employs industry-standard encryption and best practices to safeguard session data and integration credentials. However, security also depends on you:

  • Use strong passwords for your exchange accounts
  • Keep wallet seed phrases and private keys offline and secure
  • Avoid interacting with suspicious links or third-party impersonators

Sumex will never ask for your private key, password, or seed phrase under any circumstance.

7. Changes to This Policy​

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via the platform or our communication channels.

Your continued use of the platform after changes take effect implies your agreement to the revised terms.
