Getting started

This section covers everything you need to know about how to connect, manage, and monitor your CEX accounts and Web3 wallets through Sumex. Whether you're a passive investor, active trader, or managing multiple portfolios — the Connection Manager is your keychain for bringing everything together, while Unified Dashboard is the cockpit to monitor it all.

By linking your accounts, you unlock the full power of Sumex's Unified Dashboard, where assets, positions, performance metrics, and activity history are aggregated and displayed in one seamless interface — no more juggling tabs or logging into multiple platforms.

Below we explore how to securely connect your wallets and API keys, manage sub-accounts, customize your portfolio view, and take full advantage of Sumex’s real-time analytics, trading tools, and cross-platform investment tracking — all while maintaining full control of your assets.

N.B. Ongoing updates

This section will be regularly updated as new chains, exchanges, and integrations become available.

Connectivity

What are Bundles?

In Sumex, a Bundle represents a single connected funding source — such as one Web3 wallet or one CEX account. For example, a MetaMask wallet connected via WalletConnect is one Bundle, a BingX account connected via API key is another Bundle. Even if the connected source holds many assets or just one, it’s still treated as a single Bundle.

Bundles are the foundation of Sumex’s Unified Dashboard and Connection Manager. Each Bundle can be:

  • Labeled for easy identification
  • Grouped into presets for fast filtering
  • Tracked individually for performance analytics

This structure allows you to connect multiple wallets and accounts across chains and platforms while keeping each data source neatly organized and independently manageable. It’s ideal for users managing diverse portfolios, tracking separate strategies, or simply keeping personal and professional accounts apart.

You can connect, disconnect, or modify Bundles anytime through the Connection Manager.

What are the benefits of connecting all of my Bundles (Web3 wallets and CEX accounts) to Sumex?

Connecting all your wallets and accounts unlocks the full Sumex experience. Here’s what it enables:

  • Unified Portfolio View
See your entire portfolio—across wallets, exchanges, chains, and assets—in one dashboard.
  • Real-Time Tracking & Analytics
Monitor performance, allocations, and trends with live data and powerful filtering tools.
  • Cross-Platform Management
Trade, swap, stake, bridge, or invest from any connected source, with simplified execution.
  • Smarter Discovery
Get access to curated investment opportunities, yield tools, and upcoming protocols matched to your holdings.
  • GameFi Integration
Earn XP and Sigma Points automatically for actions like trading, completing tasks, and investing. These boost your level, unlock better campaigns, and may become convertible in the future.
  • SocioFi Features
Create a public profile, share performance (including CEX data), gain followers, and participate in Guilds or trading competitions.
  • Better Personalization
Future AI-driven insights, notifications, and task suggestions will work best when your accounts are connected.

Sumex is designed to be more than just an aggregator—it becomes your all-in-one, chain-agnostic crypto operating system when fully connected.

How do I connect new Bundles?

Connecting is simple and secure.

To start using Sumex with your Web3 wallet, you’ll first need a compatible wallet. If you don’t already have one, here are a few popular and widely supported options: MetaMask, Trust Wallet, Rabby, or other WalletConnect-compatible wallets (over 600 supported).

caution

If you are new to this, make sure to use official extensions and apps, and never share your seed phrase or private key with anyone.

To connect it to Sumex:

  1. Go to the Connection Manager located in the Portfolio section of your Sumex dashboard.
  2. Select DeFi tab and press “Add Bundle” button, then select your wallet type (e.g., MetaMask, WalletConnect, etc.).
  3. Your wallet will prompt you to sign a message — this is a standard industry login method used only to verify that you own the address. This does not grant Sumex access to your funds or allow it to make transactions.
  4. Once signed, your wallet is connected and your assets will begin syncing with your portfolio.

You remain in full control — you can disconnect your wallet at any time via the Connection Manager, or directly through your wallet interface.

Once connected, Sumex will be able to track your portfolio, provide performance analytics, and optionally execute trades on your behalf (if trading access was granted). You remain in control of the connection at all times and can edit or revoke access whenever needed by deleting a connected bundle in the Connection Manager, or directly in your Web3 wallet / CEX account. Sumex is fully non-custodial: we never store your seed phrase, private key, credentials or assets. Your keys, your coins — always.

What crypto wallets does Sumex support?

Sumex supports a wide range of Web3 wallets across major blockchain ecosystems, allowing users to connect and manage assets from multiple chains in one place.

Currently supported wallets include:

  • Browser-based wallets like MetaMask, Rabby, Coinbase Wallet, and others via WalletConnect
  • Mobile wallets through WalletConnect-compatible apps
  • Hardware wallets (e.g., Ledger, Trezor) when used with supported interfaces
  • Multi-chain wallets that support EVM chains, Solana, Tron and TON

Sumex also integrates WalletConnect, which means we support connections to over 600 wallets across mobile and desktop — including many that specialize in specific chains.

:::note[N.B. Performance and priority]:

  • Some wallets perform better on mobile than desktop (and vice versa) depending on the wallet provider itself. Any limitations are typically due to the wallet service, not Sumex.
  • We prioritize integration of popular multi-chain wallets first to ensure broader coverage and better user experience. Single-chain wallets may follow based on demand and compatibility.

Sumex is committed to chain-agnostic and user-friendly access, and we’re actively integrating new ecosystems. We also listen closely to our community — if there's strong demand for a specific wallet or chain, we’ll prioritize its integration. After all, Sumex is built for and alongside its users, with convenience, flexibility, and accessibility as core principles.

You can view and manage all connected wallets in the Connection Manager inside your Portfolio dashboard.

What Centralized Exchanges (CEXes) does Sumex support?

Sumex currently supports integration with several of the most widely used centralized exchanges, including:

  • Binance
  • BingX
  • Bitget
  • Bybit
  • Gate
  • KuCoin
  • MEXC
  • OKX

Our goal is to make Sumex the most complete and flexible hub for all crypto needs — which means we’re actively working to support as many CEXes as possible, including those that are popular for non-KYC trading.

Think of it as a "catch them all" mission: whether you’re trading on the largest platforms or using niche exchanges for specific purposes, Sumex aims to bring them all into one seamless, unified experience — while preserving the Web3 values of freedom, flexibility, and user control.

Can I manage multiple wallets and CEX accounts on Sumex? How many Bundles can I connect?

Yes, Sumex is built for multi-wallet and multi-account management with convenience in mind.

You can connect and manage as many Web3 wallets and CEX accounts at the same time as you wish! All connected assets are aggregated into a unified portfolio view, with performance analytics and filters to help you drill down by wallet, exchange, or chain.

Whether you’re splitting assets across wallets or managing portfolios on behalf of others, Sumex keeps everything in one place — clearly organized and easy to track.

Can I connect multiple Web3 wallets from the same chain?

Yes — Sumex allows you to connect multiple Web3 wallets from the same blockchain without any limitations.

Whether you're managing memecoins across several Solana addresses, splitting funds between BNB Chain wallets, or testing strategies on multiple Hyperliquid-connected wallets, you can add them all to your Connection Manager.

Each wallet you connect is treated independently, and you’ll be able to:

  • View balances and performance for each wallet separately or as part of your overall portfolio
  • Filter by wallet, chain, or protocol
  • Track performance across all your addresses in a unified dashboard
  • Use different wallets for different features (e.g., one for trading, one for farming)

This flexibility is especially useful for users who manage funds across personal, trading, or organizational wallets — or for those who use specific wallets for different chains or dApps.

There is no technical limit on how many wallets you can connect, but for the best experience, we recommend authenticating ownership (via signature) when adding them. Unverified wallets may have restricted access to certain features like performance tracking, gamification, and rewards.

Can I use Sumex without connecting a wallet or CEX account (read-only mode)?

Yes — you can explore large parts of the Sumex platform in guest (read-only) mode without connecting a wallet or CEX account, though certain features will be limited.

In read-only mode, you can:

  • View live market data, charts, analytics, and curated news
  • Browse investment opportunities, passive income tools, and supported protocols
  • Preview quests, campaigns, and Complete & Earn reward systems
  • Access educational content and feature overviews
  • Try out demo versions of Sumex-exclusive tools

Web3 Wallets

  • Connecting a Web3 wallet is always non-custodial and read-only by default. You’ll only be asked to sign a standard verification message to confirm wallet ownership — no permissions to access funds or approve transactions are requested.
  • (Note: While it’s technically possible to add wallet addresses manually without signing, we do not recommend this, as it limits portfolio functionality and can reduce accuracy or cause spam risks.)

CEX Accounts

  • You may connect your centralized exchange accounts in read-only mode using API keys with restricted access.
  • This allows you to track portfolio performance and balances without enabling trading or account management functions.

Unverified wallets or read-only exchange connections may limit or block access to key platform features, such as:

  • Real-time portfolio tracking and analytics
  • Swap and trading execution
  • Participation in quests, campaigns, and rewards
  • Accumulation of XP and Sigma Points
  • AI-based recommendations and alerts
  • Access to Guilds, social features, and copy trading

Sumex is built with flexibility in mind, but for the most rewarding, secure, and personalized experience — connecting your verified wallet or account is highly recommended.

Can I remove or edit existing bundles (connected wallets or CEX accounts)?

Yes — Sumex gives you full control over your connected accounts through the Connection Manager.

For Web3 wallets: You can approve previously unsigned wallets (by verifying ownership via a signature) or remove any connected wallet bundle at any time. You can also revoke wallet access directly from within your wallet interface (e.g., MetaMask, Rabby, etc.) by removing Sumex from the list of connected dApps.

For CEX accounts: While Sumex displays the status of your API connection (e.g., read-only, trading-enabled), changes to API permissions must be made directly within your exchange account's API settings — since only the CEX controls the account itself. If needed, you can delete or regenerate the API key in the exchange dashboard to immediately revoke Sumex's access.

To remove any bundle (wallet or exchange) from Sumex, simply go to the Connection Manager, locate the bundle, and disconnect it. This action will immediately stop syncing and remove associated data from your dashboard view.

Unified Dashboard

How does Unified Dashboard work?

Since Sumex acts as the aggregator of CeFi and DeFi, the Unified Dashboard pulls all the bundled sources together to show their combined data. This includes three main categories, namely, Spot assets (both from CEX and DEX balances), Futures positions and Investments (staking, lending, yield farming, etc.). Therefore, the stats are calculated as the combined metrics for the categories. For more detailed information about a particular portfolio category, or CeFi/DeFi split, you can utilize the built-in bundling templates, filters and CeFi and DeFi dedicated dashboards.

N.B. Current state

Please note that while we are always working on improving the platform further, at this point, the collection of metrics occurs from the moment the data source is added and only for those transactions that are directly managed via Sumex.

Will Sumex track my portfolio performance in real time?

Yes. Sumex provides real-time portfolio tracking across all connected wallets and CEX accounts.

You’ll see up-to-date asset values, PnL, performance charts, and historical data — all in one unified dashboard. Whether it’s token balances, trade history, staking positions, or yield performance, Sumex continuously updates your portfolio so you always know where you stand.

Can I track my portfolio performance over time?

Yes, Sumex offers built-in tracking of your portfolio performance, allowing you to monitor gains, losses, and overall trends across your connected wallets and exchange accounts.

Currently, the Unified Dashboard provides detailed metrics and analytics for preset timeframes — specifically 24 hours and 7 days — helping you stay on top of recent portfolio movements. These insights include net worth changes, top performers, gainers/losers, and allocation by chain, asset, or account type.

More flexibility is coming soon: In upcoming updates, you’ll be able to select any custom time period to analyze performance, view historical trends, compare allocations, and assess strategies over days, weeks, months, or even longer. This is part of our ongoing effort to deliver a comprehensive and data-rich experience for both active and passive portfolio managers.

Whether you're a short-term trader or long-term investor, Sumex aims to give you complete transparency into how your assets perform over time — all from a single, unified view.

Can I group Bundles together for unified tracking?

Yes — Sumex allows you to organize your connected wallets and exchange accounts using a flexible filtering and preset system within the Unified Dashboard.

When you connect multiple funding sources (whether Web3 wallets or CEX APIs), you can use the filtering tools to group them based on parameters such as:

  • Specific wallet or exchange account
  • Asset type or token
  • Blockchain network

Once you've defined your desired view, you can save it as a Preset for quick access in the future. This is especially useful for managing different strategies, portfolios, or client accounts — allowing you to switch between customized portfolio snapshots in just one click. (These presets are visible only to you)

Presets help simplify monitoring, improve focus, and streamline your decision-making across complex, multi-source portfolios.

Can I track balances and performance of Bundles I don’t own?

Yes — you can input any public address using the integrated blockchain scanner to view token balances, historical activity, and more — all without needing to connect or sign anything. This is ideal for monitoring wallets you don’t control, such as project treasuries, whales, or simply your own cold storage.

CEX accounts, on the other hand, are private by nature and cannot be tracked externally — unless the account holder chooses to make their Sumex profile public. And this leads to one of Sumex’s most powerful and unique features:

Just like social media, you can follow public profiles on Sumex.

This means that if another user has enabled visibility, you can track not only their wallet balances and performance, but also their CEX portfolio, trading activity, and even investment allocations — all in one place. Whether you’re following a high-performing trader, a crypto influencer, or a portfolio manager, Sumex gives you full transparency (within the visibility limits they set).

This functionality is especially valuable for:

  • Competitive traders participating in leaderboards
  • KOLs showcasing transparency to followers
  • Managers running delegated or public portfolios
  • Curious users benchmarking strategies or discovering new opportunities

Of course, basic privacy controls are already in place. For now, you can choose to make your Sumex profile either public or private — allowing you to share your overall portfolio performance (including DeFi and CEX) or keep it entirely hidden.

More granular privacy customization — such as asset-level visibility, separating CEX and DeFi views, or restricting access to specific groups (like Guild members or paid followers) — is not yet live but is actively being developed. This will give users full control over how and to whom their data is displayed in the near future.
